Authorities: 'An individual stole a METRO police car'

Police arrested a woman for allegedly stealing a patrol vehicle belonging to the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) on Monday morning (March 28), Houston-based media outlets reported. Houston CBS affiliate KHOU reported that the offense occurred at 1:20 a.m. at the Fannin South Park & Ride at 1601 W Bellfort St.

Another search effort for a Texas State University student from the Houston area who went missing in December 2020 was held on Saturday (March 26), according to a report from Houston NBC affiliate KPRC. The station reported that a search team was summoned to assist the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) in finding 22-year-old Missouri City native Jason Landry.
