It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Bailey Godfrey Sr. of Houston, Texas, born in Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on March 30, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Lonnie Godfrey; his wife Patricia Ann Godfrey; his son Charles David Godfrey; and his siblings, Patricia Ann Godfrey Williams and Royce William Godfrey.
He is survived by : his sons, Ronald B Godfrey, Jr., Nicholas H Godfrey and Matthew K Godfrey; his grandchildren, Ty, Taylor, Tatum and Gabriella; and his sisters, Martha Godfrey Horn and Margaret Godfrey Cash. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11th 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 12th 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the American Heritage Funeral Home (10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 12th 2022 at 12:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 12th 2022 at 1:45 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, April 12th 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
