The police chief of a west Houston-area suburb is on administrative leave as officials determine a response of his alleged overtime payments. Spring Valley Village Chief of Police Loyd Evans stands accused of paying himself up to $300,000 for overtime during the last two years, according to reports from Houston-based media outlets.


Abbott on plan to bus migrants to D.C.: 'Texas will immediately begin taking unprecedented action'

As part of the state's efforts to address the crisis at the southern border, Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday (April 6) announced a new plan to place migrants on buses and send them to Washington, D.C., a press release issued by the governor's office said.
