This statement came after the Texans secured a 19-16 overtime road victory against the Titans. Lone Star College receives over $1.3 million in state funding

Governor Greg Abbott has announced that Lone Star College (LSC) in Houston is set to receive over $1,329,329 in Skills Development Fund (SDF) grants. These grants have been awarded by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). LSC plans to utilize these funds to provide customized training aimed at upskilling more than 650 employees from four companies: AmeriTex Machine & Fabrication, McCarthy Building Companies Inc., Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, and Tenaris. The sectors targeted for this upskilling initiative include construction, energy, healthcare, and machining.
