Governor Greg Abbott has confirmed the reappointment of Charles "Ed" Boulware and Mark Micheletti to the San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors, with their terms expiring on October 16, 2027. The Governor has also appointed Ronnie Anderson as the new president of the board. The San Jacinto River Authority works to manage and safeguard the water resources within the San Jacinto River Basin.
Charles "Ed" Boulware, a resident of Montgomery, retired after a 38-year career with Shell Oil Company. He previously served as president of the April Sound Men’s Club. Boulware holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science from Texas A&M University.
Mark Micheletti from Kingwood is the former CEO of Berkeley Eye Center. Prior to his retirement in December 2024, he was involved with the Texas Society of CPAs and the Houston Society of CPAs. Micheletti has also held positions as chairman of both the Lake Houston Economic Development Council and the Lake Houston Chamber of Commerce. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Ronnie Anderson of Mont Belvieu has stepped into the role of board president. Previously, he was an executive vice president at Community Resource Credit Union. Anderson is a director and has served as board chairman of the Baytown-West Chambers Economic Development Foundation, and he is involved with the Rotary Club of Baytown. His past roles include serving on the Baytown City Council. He studied business and banking across Lee College, San Jacinto College, and the University of Houston, and is a former member of the United States Army Reserves.
The appointments require confirmation by the Senate.
