Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has announced the appointment of Christina Nowak as the new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the city's Office of Policing Reform and Accountability. Houston leaders approve $250 million for start of construction at Hobby Airport

Houston leaders have given the green light for a $250 million construction project at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). The expansion project will add seven new gates, an expanded and renovated baggage handling system, a renovated baggage claim area, and an overhead canopy along the departures curb. Abbott announces Texas Music Incubator Rebate Program

Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Music Office (TMO) announced the launch of the Texas Music Incubator Rebate Program (TMIR) on Sept. 1, with the acceptance of applications underway through the end of this month. Per a press release issued by the Office of the Texas Governor, Abbott signed the TMIR Program into law in 2021, which seeks to support the live music industry in the Lone Star State.
