Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Tami Pierce to serve as judge of the 180th Judicial District Court in Harris County. Her term will last until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Pierce, who resides in Humble, operates the Pierce Law Firm in Kingwood. She has prior experience as an assistant district attorney in Polk, San Jacinto, and Liberty counties. She is affiliated with the Texas State Bar, American Bar Association, and Texas Bar Association. Pierce holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northeast Louisiana University and earned her Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
