Governor Greg Abbott has appointed James Brady and Joe Christian to the Manufactured Housing Board. Their terms are set to expire on January 31, 2031. The board is responsible for regulating the manufactured housing industry in Texas.
James Brady, from Arlington, serves as an executive director at JPMorgan Chase. He leads the Collateral Specialty Review and has held several leadership roles, including chief appraiser for Mortgage Banking. Additionally, he is a Licensed Counselor providing mental health services in Texas and a Certified General Appraiser. Brady is affiliated with the Appraisal Institute, Texas Counseling Association, National Board of Certified Counselors, and the Real Estate Program Advisory Board at UT Arlington College of Business. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from UT Arlington, an MBA from the University of Dallas, and a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University.
Joe Christian hails from San Antonio and works as a senior vice president with Marsh McLennan Agency. He contributes to Junior Achievement of South Texas as a board member and previously served as chair for Junior Achievement of Central Texas. Active in youth sports, he coaches various sports throughout the year and participates on the Alamo Heights Little League Board. Christian earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from UT Austin and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Acton School of Business in Austin.
These appointments await Senate confirmation.
