Governor Greg Abbott recently announced the appointment of Jeffrey Houston to the Risk Management Board, with Gerald Ladner, Sr. being named as the chair of the Board. The Board's primary responsibility is to coordinate, monitor, and direct information resources management within the state government.

Jeffrey Houston, a resident of Dripping Springs, is currently serving as the senior vice president at Mondee Holdings, Inc. in Austin. A highly accomplished individual, Houston is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of Austin and has previously been associated with the CFA Society of Chicago. Apart from his professional endeavors, he actively participates in community service as the president of the Terrascena Property Owners Association and a former coach for several Upward Youth Basketball teams. Houston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Philosophy from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration with a finance concentration from DePaul University. Moreover, he is a CFA charter holder.

Gerald Ladner, Sr., a resident of Austin, brings a wealth of experience to his role as the chair of the Risk Management Board. With a distinguished 42-year career in the property & casualty insurance industry, Ladner has held various senior executive positions in well-known companies such as State Auto, Liberty Mutual, Zenith Insurance Company, and Zurich North America. Currently serving as an Independent Board Director for Educational and Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc., Ladner is also actively involved in professional associations such as the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas and the Insurance Council of Texas. Furthermore, he contributes to national security efforts as a member of the InfraGard National Members Alliance, an organization affiliated with the FBI. Ladner received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rollins College, where he currently serves as a Trustee.
