This holiday season, Houston coffee shop PJ’s Coffee Spring Branch will partner with Spring Woods Middle School to host an inaugural "Stock the Pantry" holiday food drive. According to Nate Brown, co-owner of PJ’s Coffee Spring Branch location, excitement is high for starting this food drive.

"We are excited to provide this opportunity for the community to unite and support our neighbors who are in need of essential food items. The holidays are meant to be a joyous occasion, so having food will be one less worry and financial responsibility for these families during this season.", said Nate Brown.

According to a press release, this food drive will take place for the month of Nov., and those who donate food will have the option to receive a free PJ’s signature coffee or beignet. All donated food items will be distributed to Spring Woods Middle School pantry located in Spring Branch I.S.D.

PJ’s Coffee is looking for non-perishable food items from those in the community. They can be dropped off at PJ’s Coffee Spring Branch, located at 9221 Long Point Road, Houston.

According to Roy Reyes, a Student Support Manager at Spring Woods Middle School, their food pantry was created to help families who were in difficult times and he is grateful for this partnership, as it can "help feed those who are struggling and who may not know where their holiday meal will come from."

The "Stock the Pantry" holiday food drive was possible due in part to sponsors ReVi Financial Services, David E. Lopez and Long Cap Partners.

PJ’s Coffee Spring Branch opened earlier this year, and "is committed to coffee, community and culture." They serve everything from coffee and teas to pastries like beignets, muffins, croissants, scones, and cinnamon rolls.
