It’s common knowledge among Swifties, or the most devoted fans of Taylor Swift, that the pop superstar’s lucky number is 13.

A GoFundMe page was set up for a 20-year-old man who was killed in a car accident on Friday after he and his sister watched the 33-year-old Swift perform at NRG Stadium, with swarms of fans making donations of $13, Houston CBS affiliate KHOU reported.

Houston Daily reported that Jacob Lewis and April Bancroft encountered car trouble on the Southwest Freeway following the first of three shows that comprised of Swift’s Houston stop of her ongoing Eras Tour.

Lewis was attempting to push the vehicle when he was fatally struck by an alleged drunk driver, the publication reported, citing KHOU.

“It was the night I had been looking forward to for a very long time and turned for the absolute worst,” Bancroft, who sustained minor injuries, told Houston NBC affiliate KPRC, according to Houston Daily.

KHOU reported that Swifties’ donations honoring their idol helped the fundraiser soar past its intended goal, which the page said will go toward funeral expenses incurred by Lewis’ family.

“Swifties stick together,” a $13 donor by the name of Kaitlyn Guidry posted, the station reported.

According to the GoFundMe, the fundraiser is spearheaded by the Houston Pokémon scene, of which Lewis was an active member and leader.

Authorities arrested and charged 34-year-old Alan Hayes with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and failure to stop and render aid.

Hayes allegedly fled the scene and was pursued by a tow truck driver until police arrested him somewhere in Midtown Houston.

KPRC reported that the suspect made his first court appearance since the accident on Monday.

Per the station, Assistant Harris County District Attorney (ADA) Kelly Marshall said Hayes admitted to taking pills and consuming alcohol before the accident.
