The Brays Oaks Management District Public Safety Committee held a meeting via Zoom video conference on October 1, 2025, at 11:30 am.

District Board and Committee members present: Starla Turnbo, Ralph Rieger, Sylvia Rivas, Sheri Cortez

Staff members present: Josh Hawes, Kristen Gonzales, Victor Beserra

Public safety present: Cpt. Lee Donovan – HPD, Lt. Manfre – HPD, Lt. Richard Pietruszynski– HPD, Sgt. Tracie Segura – HPD, Sgt. Jose Juarez – HPD, Officer Mesa – HPD, Officer Liechty-Rivera – HPD, Mike Laster – HCAO

Public present: Brenda Jackson, Stephen Polnaszek, Gwen S., Angelee Moody Rhyne

Executive Director Josh Hawes called the meeting to order at 11:30 AM, and the committee meeting adjourned at 12:00 PM.

a. No update.

5. Report from HPD (Southwest & S. Gessner) for the month of September.

a. Southwest

i. Lt. Manfre presented District 15 stats and answered questions from the committee.

b. S. Gessner

i. Cpt. Donovan presented District 17 stats and answered questions from the committee

c. Bike & DRT

i. Officer Mesa presented the DRT report.

6. Receive report on HPD Overtime Program

a. Cpt. Donovan addressed the funds received and calls for service.

7. Brays Oaks MD National Night Out

a. Executive Director Hawes provided updates on National Night Out.

8. Receive report from HFD.

a. No update.

9. Receive report from Harris County Attorney’s Office

a. Mr. Laster gave an update on the issues and actions taken in Brays Oaks MD.

10. Receive update from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office

a. Ms. Cortez updated the committee on the DA’s outreach and domestic violence awareness campaign. Ms. Cortez also informed the committee that staff will be receiving flyers for promotion in the District.

a. September Graffiti & Light Outage Report

i. Graffiti

1. Executive Director Hawes informed the committee that the Graffiti Abatement report has not yet been received.

ii. Light Outage Report

1. Executive Director Hawes informed the committee that the Light Outage Report will be received next month.
