U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) has announced the opening of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for high school students in Texas' 10th Congressional District. The competition invites young artists to showcase their talents and potentially have their work displayed in the United States Capitol.

"Texas' 10th district is home to many exceptionally talented students," said Rep. McCaul. "Art has a profound impact, and I'm always impressed by the skill and emotion our students pour into their work. Each year, I look forward to seeing their incredible submissions."

The winning artwork will be exhibited for one year in the Capitol alongside pieces from students nationwide. Additionally, first-place winners and a guest will receive round-trip tickets to attend the Winner's Celebration on June 11th in Washington, D.C.

Entries can include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photography. Artwork must adhere to size restrictions: up to 26 inches high, 26 inches wide, and 4 inches deep; it should not weigh more than 15 pounds. Winning pieces must be framed within these dimensions.

To enter, participants must submit the 2025 Student Release Form along with their original artwork to one of Rep. McCaul’s offices by April 18th at 5:00 p.m. CT.

Submissions can be sent to:

College Station Office: 175 Century Square Drive, Suite 210, College Station, TX 77845

Austin Office: 11614 FM 2244 Suite 160, Austin, TX 78738
