U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) issued a statement regarding a letter from Mark Zuckerberg to the House Judiciary Committee, in which Zuckerberg admitted that the Biden-Harris administration pressured Meta to censor free speech.

"Mark Zuckerberg's bombshell admission reveals the Biden-Harris administration undeniably pressured Facebook into silencing Americans' voices and burying accurate news stories that contradicted their preferred narratives," said Rep. McCaul. "We expect this kind of brazen censorship from dictators around the world, who suppress the truth and deliberately keep their people in the dark — not from the leaders of the United States of America. I applaud Judiciary Committee Republicans for securing this letter and continuing to champion free speech. There must be accountability both for the administration’s egregious overreach and for Meta’s unquestioning compliance."
