U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) praised the passage of the Water Resources Development Act of 2024 (WRDA) out of the U.S. House of Representatives. This bipartisan bill aims to strengthen and preserve water projects and infrastructure throughout Texas and the United States.

“Texas' water infrastructure is critical for the United States’ supply chain and energy dominance,” said Rep. McCaul. “I was proud to support the passage of WRDA, which provides critical support to Texas’ ports and water infrastructure projects. The Texas port region is a leader in domestic and international shipping, and this piece of legislation strengthens Texas’ supply chain, creates new jobs, and allows Texas to continue driving our nation’s economy.”
