Established in 1933, the Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo has been a beloved event for almost nine decades. It was initially celebrated between Richmond and Rosenberg before moving to its current location in 1974. The fair is organized by the Fort Bend County Fair Association, a non-profit organization that prioritizes supporting youth education. The association provides scholarships and hosts auctions to help local youth achieve their educational goals. In an open letter published on the event's website, incumbent fair president Jennifer Williams expressed the association's mission and gratitude, stating, "Our mission is to help our youth achieve their educational goals through our scholarship program and auctions that are like no other here in Fort Bend County. Know that when you pay your gate admission, you are doing your part to give back."

As the Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo prepares to celebrate its 87th year, residents and visitors can expect a fantastic lineup of entertainment, attractions, and opportunities to support local youth education.
