Paso Robles Wine Country Tasting Tour | Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance

The Paso Robles Wine Country Tasting Tour will make its way to Houston Sept. 28. Held 6-8:30 p.m. at the Majestic Metro, the event will include a walkaround wine tasting featuring more than 100 wines from more than 20 winery producers.

"Each fall we take the winemakers out of the cellars and choose two cities known for great cuisine and an interest in wine,” Jennifer Bravo, consumer marketing manager of Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, told Houston Daily. "This year we chose Houston in September and Denver in October."

At the tasting tour, guests will be able to get to know the makers and experience what Paso Robles has to offer. According to the event page, participating wineries will include Ancient Peaks Winery, Austin Hope and Treana Tasting Cellar, Bezel from the Cakebread Family, Cass Winery, Castoro Cellars, Daou, Derby Wine Estates, Eberle Winery, Fulldraw Vineyard, Graveyard Vineyards, J. Lohr Vineyards and Wines, Justin Vineyards and Winery, Linne Calodo Cellars, McPrice Myers Wines, Opolo Vineyards, Riboli Family Wines, Tablas Creek Vineyard, Tobin James Cellars, Serial Wines and Vina Robles Vineyards and Winery.

“Paso Robles hangs its hat on diversity. Diversity of grapes grown, wine that are made and unique tasting experiences,” Bravo said when asked how Paso Robles wines compare to others in the industry. “Winemakers in Paso Robles are considered renegades, they bend the rules to create wines with personality. Known for making award-winning Cabernet and Rhone varietals, Paso is most known for our bold blends.”

Located halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance is a cooperative group consisting of more than 200 wineries and vineyards as well as other related businesses along California’s central coast, according to Bravo. Its goal is to promote and safeguard Paso Robles Wine Country and enhance the quality of its wines, vineyards and experiences.
