Louisiana-born Christian music star Lauren Daigle has been announced as one of the performers at next year’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR), Houston-based media outlets reported.

Daigle, whose signature song “You Say” impacted contemporary Christian and mainstream radio nearly five years ago, joins a gradually revealed lineup that includes country singers Parker McCollum and Cody Jinks in addition to electronic dance music (EDM) duo The Chainsmokers.

The 91st annual HLSR will be held at NRG Stadium from Tuesday, Feb. 28 to Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Houston NBC affiliate KPRC reported that the 31-year-old Daigle will make her debut on the event’s famous rotating star-shaped stage on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

The station reported that tickets for Daigle’s show will go on sale at the HLSR website on Thursday.

The RODEOHOUSTON Twitter account announced Daigle’s addition to the highly anticipated roster to coincide with this year’s Giving Tuesday, which was on Nov. 29.

“Get ready to welcome Lauren Daigle to the star stage for the first time ever,” event organizers said in a tweet.

Per the HLSR website, Daigle grew up in a musical household and participated in the choir when she attended Louisiana State University (LSU).

Her two stints as a competitor on “American Idol” in the early 2010s paved the way to a record contract.

While her 2015 debut album, “How Can It Be,” made her a CCM staple, it was 2018’s “Look Up Child” that introduced “You Say” and Daigle to a wide range of audiences and critical and commercial acclaim.

Houston CBS affiliate KHOU reported that the singer won two Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards and seven Billboard Music Awards.

HLSR officials said that it’ll reveal the rest of the lineup at a later date.

Touted as Houston’s signature large-scale event, RODEOHOUSTON drew over 2.4 million people to its shows last year.
