Multi-decorated Olympic gymnast Simone Biles will never forget Valentine's Day 2022 as she was presented an engagement ring from her significant other of more than a year, Houston Texans defensive back Jonathan Owens.

Bubbling with excitement, the 24-year-old Biles did what any woman who had just been proposed to would do: Share the news and the new bling on social media.

"WOKE UP A FIANCÉE!” Biles said in a tweet. “I can’t wait to spend forever [and] ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! Let’s get married!"

People.com reported that Biles took to Instagram to share the ring Owens proposed to her with.

Designed by Houston-based ZoFrost & Co. Custom Jewelry, the ring is an oval-shaped diamond set on a diamond pave band, the website added.

Twenty-six-year-old Owens, who plays safety for the Texans, also made the engagement Instagram official on his account, thanking ZoFrost for helping make what’s currently the biggest moment of his and Biles’s lives a possibility.

According to People.com, Biles and Owens made their relationship public in August 2020.

They marked a year together last year when Biles competed in the Tokyo Olympics.

Biles, who calls the north Houston suburb of Spring her home, returned from her second consecutive Olympiad with a silver and a bronze to add to the four golds and bronze she captured at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.

She also has 25 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship medals to her name, according to ESPN.

Undrafted out of Missouri Western in 2018, Owens alternated between the Texans’ practice squad and active roster.

The Texans’ upset victory over the Los Angeles Chargers the day after Christmas last year was also a career game for Owens, who collected his first interception and scooped up his first fumble recovery.

With a little more than two years until the Paris Olympics, Biles is unsure how her competitive future will go, ESPN reported.
