The Houston Texans joined their counterparts in the sports world on Wednesday (June 1) in lending their support to the Uvalde community following last month's mass shooting at an elementary school that killed 19 students and two teachers, according to a report from Houston CBS affiliate KHOU.

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) on Tuesday (May 31) held a virtual meeting with a bipartisan group of senators to discuss gun legislation in the wake of last month's mass shootings at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde and Tops Grocery Store in Buffalo, New York, per a report from San Antonio CBS affiliate KENS that was ran by sister station KVUE.
