Texas has been named the top business climate in the United States for the third consecutive year by Site Selection magazine. Governor Greg Abbott commented on the achievement, stating, "Texas once again emerges as the national champion for the top business climate in America. As the eighth-largest economy in the world, Texas offers the freedom and opportunity for companies of all sizes and all industries to thrive. Coupled with the pro-growth, pro-business laws I signed this year, Texas improved the process of doing business to help them succeed in our great state. We will continue to make strategic investments and partner with job-creating businesses to ensure that Texas remains the top state in the nation to do business."

The ranking was influenced by several factors including a high number of corporate relocations and expansions that create jobs, a supportive environment for growth, investments in workforce development and infrastructure, access to technology talent, and stable regulations.

A survey conducted among corporate real estate executives and site selectors also contributed significantly to Texas’s top position; according to Site Selection magazine’s results, Texas outperformed all other states in this area.

Earlier this year, Governor Abbott accepted Site Selection magazine’s Governor's Cup for a thirteenth consecutive time on behalf of Texas. The award recognizes states with strong records in attracting new or expanded corporate facilities. In addition, Texas received Site Selection’s 2025 Prosperity Cup for its success in drawing new business investments.
