Kaare Johnson, host of "Kaare Talks," has voiced concerns over billboard injury attorneys in Texas, claiming they exploit citizens with frivolous lawsuits. He urged Texas lawmakers to amend the laws, making his statement on the social media platform X.

"The loser, douche bag, advertising injury attorneys continue to pilfer money from law abiding, tax paying citizens with their erroneous, lawsuits," said Johnson. "The amount of billboards these jerks purchase is mine blowing. Crooked clowns. Need to change the laws."

In Texas, billboards advertising personal injury attorneys are prevalent along highways and in urban centers. According to the Houston Chronicle, these firms invest millions in advertising to attract clients. The business model relies heavily on volume, where a single large settlement can fund extensive advertising campaigns. Critics argue that this saturation contributes to inflated jury expectations and raises concerns about frivolous lawsuits.

By 2024, "billboard attorneys" in Texas had reportedly spent an estimated $166.6 million on legal advertising, surpassing other professional service sectors significantly. Protecting American Consumers reported that this spending has led to disputes among firms over trademarks and advertising practices, highlighting the intense competition for clients.

Texas personal injury cases often result in substantial payouts, with settlements and verdicts frequently reaching six or seven figures depending on severity and venue. The Lawsuit Information Center found that average awards often run into hundreds of thousands of dollars, making Texas a particularly lucrative market for plaintiff firms investing in high-profile advertising campaigns.
