The University of Houston has initiated a new multi-year marketing campaign, titled "Can’t Stop Houston. Can’t Stop Us," aimed at enhancing its reputation and showcasing the achievements of its community. This campaign seeks to propel the university towards its goal of becoming one of the top 50 public universities in the United States.

Lisa K. Holdeman, UH vice president for marketing and communications, stated, “The University of Houston is charging forward, driven by a commitment to excellence and innovation and, through this campaign, we are inviting our community to come with us on this journey.” She emphasized that each success story contributes to UH's growth and its role in shaping the future of higher education.

The campaign targets prospective students and faculty while also reminding current students, alumni, and the community of their involvement in something significant. Recent accomplishments at UH include opening Houston’s first medical school in 50 years and joining the Big 12 Conference, which have both enhanced UH's profile nationally.

UH continues to advance in research areas such as energy, health, and superconductivity. Now trademarked as The Energy University, it is leading efforts to develop sustainable solutions for future energy needs. As a Tier One research institution, UH attracts talented individuals and encourages entrepreneurship.

Holdeman added, “Every step we take forward illustrates our commitment to not just keep pace but to lead in the realm of higher education.”

This marks UH’s first reputational campaign since the successful "Powerhouse" initiative launched in 2014. The new campaign was officially announced by UH President Renu Khator during her State of the University address.
