Congressman Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) announced the passage of the Veterans Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) Act of 2024, a significant piece of legislation aimed at supporting America’s veterans and their families. The bill, which passed with bipartisan support, ensures that veterans receiving compensation for service-connected disabilities, as well as the survivors of certain veterans, will see an increase in their benefits to match the rising cost of living.

"Our veterans gave everything to defend our freedoms, and it is our duty to ensure they receive the care and compensation they deserve. The passage of the Veterans Compensation COLA Act of 2024 is a testament to our ongoing commitment to America’s heroes and their families," said Congressman Luttrell.

Effective December 1, 2024, this adjustment will provide financial relief to veterans by aligning their benefits with the cost-of-living increase that Social Security beneficiaries receive. The Veterans COLA Act ensures that veterans and their families do not fall behind economically as inflation impacts households across the country, recognizing the sacrifices they have made for our nation.
