Trainer Joins Voyager Interests as Partner
Houston-based private equity firm, Voyager Interests, has recently announced the addition of Robert Trainer to its team as a partner. The decision to bring Trainer on board was influenced by his extensive experience and deep working relationship with founder and partner, David Watson. Watson expressed his confidence in Trainer, stating that his impressive track record in leading an energy services and equipment company made him an ideal fit for Voyager.
Trainer's most recent position was as the president and CEO of Gyrodata, an oilfield services company. During his time there, he successfully managed a workforce of nearly 1,500 employees across multiple locations worldwide. His leadership skills and industry expertise will be valuable assets for Voyager and its portfolio companies. In fact, one of Trainer's notable achievements was overseeing the sale of Gyrodata to SLB earlier this year.
Trainer expressed his excitement to join Voyager Interests, praising the team and their shared vision. He holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor's degree from Trinity College. With his strong background in the energy sector and proven leadership capabilities, Trainer is poised to make significant contributions to Voyager Interests and help drive its success in the future.
