International Management District Board of Directors met Aug. 24.
Here is the agenda provided by the board:
1. Determine quorum; call to order.
2. Receive public comments. (A statement of no more than 3 minutes may be made on items of general relevance. There will be no yielding of time to another person. State law prohibits the Board Chair or members of the Board from commenting on any statement or engaging in dialogue without an appropriate agenda item being posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law. Comments should be directed to the entire Board, not individual members. Engaging in verbal attacks or comments intended to insult, abuse, malign or slander any individual shall be cause for termination of time privileges.)
3. Approve Minutes of meeting held June 22, 2023.
4. Receive Assessment Collection Report.
5. Receive bookkeeper’s report and approve payment of invoices.
6. Authorize execution of Amendment to Information Form.
7. Receive update and recommendations from Public Safety Committee:
a. Consider sponsorship for the “H-Town Rising Stars” Fundraising Gala.
b. Consider request from HPD Tactical Operations for Hurricane Preparedness.
c. Consider Interlocal Agreement with Harris County Attorney's Office for nuisance abatement services.
8. Receive and consider updates from the International Business and Economic Development Committee:
a. Consider sponsorship of the 1st Annual Senior Citizen Luncheon submitted by the Mayor’s Assistance Office - Department of Neighborhoods.
b. Consider support for the Houston Asiatown Tours program submitted by Houston Asiatown Tours, LLC.
c. Consider sponsorship of the Viet Cultural Festival submitted by Vietnamese Culture & Science Association.
9. Receive updates from the Environmental/Urban Design and Community Development Committee.
10. Receive Executive Director’s report in support of initiatives and implementation of the Service Plan.
