On Aug. 22, Houston-headquartered vertically integrated real estate investment and asset management firm Sunset Capital announced that it has secured an equity stake in commercial real estate agency LandPark Advisors. Under this new partnership, Sam Morris and Peter Wall will be appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, respectively, for LandPark Advisors.
"This rapid succession of strategic moves, from acquiring Reliance Property Resources to collaborating with Sunset Capital, showcases our ambition and vision for LandPark Advisors," said Bill McGrath, President of LandPark, according to a press release. "Introducing Sam as CEO and Peter's role as CFO further fortifies our leadership team and the firm’s ongoing commitment to strategic growth. I have full confidence that our partnership with Sunset Capital will carve out new avenues of success in the real estate landscape for LandPark."
According to the press release, Sunset Capital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sam Morris will take on the similar position with LandPark Advisors while Peter Wall will work as the chief financial officer (CFO). Morris has 20 years of real estate experience and has helmed transactions amassing more than $550 million. Morris also facilitated more than $1 billion in real estate transactions as a corporate banker.

Sunset Capital’s website says that the company’s focus is on multifamily and storage properties in the southeast U.S.
“We actively look to grow by acquiring multifamily housing and storage assets with value-add components,” the firm explains on its website. “Sunset’s platform includes initial sourcing, underwriting, financing, renovations, property management oversight, and active asset management.”
