Six hospitals owned and operated by Houston-based for-profit health care services company Nutex Health have garnered several accolades, according to a press release issued this week. Nutex said the hospitals were voted on by the communities they serve in recognition of their “patient satisfaction and unparalleled emergency care.”
"We are extremely proud of the accolades from our partner hospitals,” Dr Tom Vo, Nutex’s chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) said, per the release. “These awards validate our mission of providing great, concierge level care for the population that we serve.”
The release said the award-winning hospitals are Albuquerque ER & Hospital in New Mexico; East Valley ER & Hospital in Gilbert, Arizona; Oklahoma ER & Hospital in Oklahoma City; and NW Indiana ER & Hospital in addition to The Colony ER Hospital and Wylie ER in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex in North Texas.
Per the release, Albuquerque ER & Hospital was an honoree in the Albuquerque Business First "2022 Best Places to Work" contest. A July 22, 2022, Houston Daily article reported that the facility topped the list as the "Best Place to Work." The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce bestowed its "Best Large Business of the Year 2023" award on East Valley ER & Hospital, Nutex said, and the Journal Record's 2023 Reader Rankings listed Oklahoma ER & Hospital as No. 1 in the "Best Emergency Room" and "Best Medical Clinic/Physician Network" categories. NW Indiana ER & Hospital was tabbed “Best of the Region" by The Times of Northwest Indiana, per Nutex. Houston Daily reported last year the facility earned recognition for "Best Hospital" and "Best CEO/Owner."
Rounding out the Nutex honorees are Texas’ The Colony ER Hospital and Wylie ER. The release said The Colony ER Hospital landed Best of The Colony Readers' Choice Award 2023" from Star Local Media's Best of The Colony while C&S Media Publication named Wylie ER the awardee of its "Best ER Readers' Choice Award 2023." Per the release, Nutex was established in 2011 as a physician-led, technology-enabled company and has a footprint of 21 facilities in eight states.
