Houston-based for-profit health care services company Nutex Health, Inc., announced in a press release that several of its micro hospitals garnered multiple accolades.
The release said that three of Nutex’s 21 hospitals were recognized in their respective communities.
"We are honored to have received these awards,” Dr. Tom Vo, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), said in the release.
NW Indiana ER & Hospital in Hammond, Indiana headlines the shortlists of awardees with its second consecutive "Best Hospital" title and "Best CEO/Owner" in The Times of Northwest Indiana’s "Best of the Region" contest, according to Nutex.
Tulsa ER & Hospital in Oklahoma is another "Best Hospital" awardee, the release said, having been bestowed the honor by Oklahoma Magazine, the release said.
Rounding out the Nutex honorees is Albuquerque ER & Hospital in New Mexico, which was named "Best Place to Work" in the Albuquerque Business First "2022 Best Places to Work" contest.
According to the release, the company prides itself in its role as a “safety net” for the communities it serves.
“We believe that the main reason our hospitals are recognized for superior health care delivery is our organization's primary focus on patient care,” Nutex said in the release. “Patients always come first, and our entire organization and its processes revolve around delivering the best patient care possible for our community.”
The release said that Nutex was established in 2011 as a physician-led, technology-enabled company.
It boasts a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees across the U.S. and has partnerships with more than 800 physicians.
Its hospital division presently operates owns and operates 21 facilities in eight states, according to the release.
