Turning 95 is a significant milestone in itself. Spring resident Naomi Mitchell marked the occasion by taking in her favorite team on their home turf.

Houston ABC affiliate KTRK reported that Mitchell's family treated her to the third game of the series between the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers on Saturday night (May 21).

KTRK reported that Mitchell has been a fan of the team since the Astrodome was a gleam in Roy Hofheinz's eye.

Out of so many games watched, Saturday night's was arguably the most memorable for Mitchell.

According to the station, her family was able to watch batting practice up close while manager Dusty Baker held court with her.

The 72-year-old Baker, who recently joined the 2,000-win club, gave some encouragement to the birthday girl.

"Go for 100 and keep on going," he told Mitchell, KTRK reported.

She is confident she'll join the century club herself.

"God has blessed me so much with my health," Mitchell, who also met Astros legend Craig Biggio, told KTRK. "I have to use a walker, but my health is very, very good. I don't know why I won't make it to 100."

As for the Astros, they made Mitchell's big day even more special by edging the Rangers, 2-1.

KTRK reported that veteran hurler Justin Verlander delivered another solid performance on the mound while designated hitter Yordan Alvarez collected an RBI and catcher Jason Castro jogged home on a wild pitch.

Closer Ryan Pressly collected his fifth save on the season at the expense of his hometown Rangers.
