Arlene Alvarez's family released funeral details on Feb. 22 for the 9-year-old girl who was fatally shot during a bank robbery in Southeast Houston on Valentine's Day night.

The family said a public visitation will be held at Grace Church Houston at 14505 Gulf Freeway on Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. to be followed by the funeral at 1 p.m., Houston CBS affiliate KHOU reported.

Arlene and her family were on their way to her favorite restaurant, Spanky's Pizza, for Valentine's Day dinner when gunfire from the robbery at the Chase Bank at 2900 Woodridge struck their vehicle, hitting the child.

Authorities say the alleged shooter, Tony Earles, was the robbery victim who tried to shoot the perpetrator.

Arlene's parents rebuffed Earles' claims that he acted in self-defense.

Arlene's father further recounted to KHOU the girl's heartbreaking final moments at the hospital the following day.

"As a dad, she passed away in my arms," Armando Alvarez told the station. "Something not really to brag about or talk about but I saw her come in and I saw her leave, I can tell you that."

Three days after she died, the family held a march calling for justice on her behalf.

The Spanky's on Telephone Road, which would've hosted the Alvarezes that night, donated 30% of its Presidents Day sales to the family.

Dozens of people dined at the restaurant in support, according to KHOU.

The Houston Chronicle reported that another visitation time on the day before the funeral and the burial will be family only.
