He was predeceased by : his grandparents, James D. Key, Frankie M. Byrd Key, E. B. Fortenberry and Ava "Granny" Fortenberry; his step-grandmother Faye Key; his aunt Mary Marshall; and his uncle Donald Fortenberry, Sr..
He is survived by : his parents, Velma L. Fortenberry Key and Jim Key; his children, Katelyn Denise Key and Jarret Michael Alexander Key (Amber Weisinger Key); his grandson Howell Warren Key; his brothers, Bobby R. Key (Kelle), Michael Key (Michelle) and Jimmy R. Key, Jr. (Rhonda); and his nieces and nephews, Ashley Key, Bobby Key, Jr., Sarah Key, Meghan Key, Kyle Key, Austin Key, Nicole Delarosa, Aaron Crawford and Amanda Crawford. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, February 18th 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Crespo and Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services (6123 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521).
