Taylour Young is remembered as a “brother” and a “superhero” by family and friends struggling to understand his untimely passing.

Young, a 25-year-old man from Houston went missing in December 2021, before his body was found in a car trunk in Dallas on Jan. 19.

“Everyone loved Taylour. It makes no sense why any of this would happen,” friend Christian Gorgy told KHOU-11. “Taylour was a superhero to me. Really, I just thought he would come back and (it) would be a great story."

Young was last seen on Dec. 9 when he was running errands on his lunch break, Young’s mother, Tiffany Robinson told KHOU-11. At that time, his car had been seen at the Capital One Bank on San Felipe Street and South Voss Road and was later found in bushes near the ATM.

“I'm at a loss for words. Who would want to hurt him?" Robinson told KHOU-11. "There’s just too much unanswered.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers in Dallas found Young's body rapidly decomposing in the trunk of his silver Honda Civic at an impound lot in south Dallas on Jan. 31.

"I don’t have my brother anymore and I don’t know how I am going to deal with that. I wish I could have him back," Gorgy told KHOU-11.

Upon finding the body, Gorgy said Robinson confirmed the body was that of her son.

Individuals with information surrounding Young’s death are asked to contact the Houston Police Department Homicide Division at 713-308-3600, KHOU-11 reports.
