The Lake Creek softball team will send off four players to the big leagues after this spring season, marking the first time that Coach Michelle Rochinski will have a roster of multiple elite players.
The four Lions players who have pledged to continue their academic and athletic careers are: Ava Brown (Florida), Caelee Clark (Texas Lutheran), Maddie McKee (LSU) and Kalee Rochinski (UTSA), told by VYPE Houston.
Clark and Brown announced their commitments on Twitter.
"I will be continuing my education and softball career at Texas Lutheran University," Clark said in an Oct. 1 Tweet. "I want to thank my parents, sisters, coaches, teammates and friends for the love and support! @tluathletics @TLUsoftball @LakeCreek_SB @IG_Jackson18u"
Brown said in a Sept. 27 Tweet, "I’m very blessed to announce my commitment to the University of Florida!! GO GATORS."
Lake Creek Softball shared Brown and Clark's Tweets and congratulated Rochinski and McKee for continuing their softball careers at the college level.
"We are all so excited for each other and excited to cheer each other on," the girls said in a tweet. "It makes us want to win a state championship even more."
"They are fun to watch," Rochinski said, told by VYPE Houston. "We have the bats, the pitching and the energy. The team chemistry is awesome. I honestly have to say I haven't had a team this good, ever."
According to another article by VYPE Houston, the Lions' deep playoff run last year was prominently featured on the popular app Tik Tok thus giving the program the "Team Tik Tok" moniker.
A state finalist from last year, Lake Creek is forecasted to be among the programs to beat in 2022, told by VYPE Houston.
"It has been wonderful seeing my teammates success and getting to be right by their side for it," Madison Kalee said, told by VYPE Houston. "I'm so happy for each and every single one of them and know that all of us will do big things."
