Tokyo Games Olympic gold medalist Bryce Deadmon is convinced he has the perfect team.
“Really got friends and family that support me more than I support myself,” Deadmon recently posted on Twitter after returning home from Tokyo to a hero’s welcome after being a member of the USA men’s 4x400 meter relay.
The Missouri City native and former Texas A&M star was also a member of the bronze medal winning 4x400 relay.
At the Aug. 21 special ceremony held at the Community City Plaza, the 24-year-old Omega Psi Psi member was fêted with a marching band and a steady supply of American flags.
Deadmon’s Olympic Games performance marked a stretch to remember for Texas A&M Olympians, with Aggie athletes winning a combined seven medals, including NBA star Khris Middleton being a member of the gold medal winning men’s basketball team.
