Fresh off his season to remember, Texas A&M five-star recruit quarterback Conner Weigman is set for Cypress Bridgeland’s nationally televised season against Klein Cain.

The two face off on Aug. 28, with the game broadcast on ESPNU.

"Five-star Texas A&M QB commit Conner Weigman and Bridgeland in their final tuneup tonight before playing on national TV next weekend," 247 Sports Brian Peroni recently posted on Twitter.

Weigman paced the high-scoring Bears’ offense last season (44 points per game), on the way to a 12-1 finish, where he amassed 3,803 passing yards and 42 touchdowns to lead Class 6A.

Klein Cain comes to battle led by star wideout/kick returner Matthew Golden, who recently signed with TCU after receiving interest from as many as 21 Division 1 offers.

“I’m just one person, on my hustle, my whole family could be rich,” Golden recently wrote on Twitter.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 190-pound speedster, rated a four-star recruit and “a dual threat payer that can affect the outcome of a game from his wide receiver position as well as a kick returner” by 247 Sports, finished last season with three games topping 100 receiving yards, including against Cypress Bridgeland.

On the season, Golden, who counts Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson, Buffalo Bills' Stefon Diggs and Green Bay Packers' Devante Adams as receivers he likes watching, amassed over 1,300 all-purpose yards last season, 1,027 as a receiver.
