A recent study revealed that the majority of Americans feel uneasy with China's sway over U.S. media, culture and government.

This poll was conducted by the Trafalgar Group, in partnership with the Convention of States Action (COSA), and surveyed 1,089 likely general election voters.

The survey finds that the vast majority of Americans expressed some level of concern over China's influence on the United States government, media and culture. Eighty-one percent of respondents expressed concerns, with 50.8% being "very concerned." Only 18.9% were "not concerned."

The results were consistent across party lines. Over 71% of Democrats expressed concern along with 92.2% of Republicans. Almost 80% of Independents and third party affiliates were concerned.

"The strident, combative nature of communications from official Beijing since the beginning of COVID-19 clearly indicates that China already understands its decades-long covert strategy to undermine the United States has been so successful, they can now be open about it," Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action said, told by COSA. "Thus, the only people who might be surprised by these numbers are members of the propaganda press and their allies in Washington, D.C., who have worked tirelessly to convince us that Russia is the real threat. Our fight is not with each other, our fight is with the evil communists in China who have snuffed out the light of freedom in their own land, and are now spreading their Great Totalitarian Reset around the globe."

Convention of States Action is a grassroots political organization with over 5 million supporters across the United States. The organization's primary focus is on calling an Article V Convention of the States to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution. COSA only promotes amendments that would impose limitations on the size and scope of the federal government.
