All it took was one visit to the Louisiana Tech University campus in Ruston for Fort Bend Ridge Point offensive lineman Calvin Harvey to make up his mind on where he’ll be in the fall of 2022.
"I love everything about it. Coach Guge has a huge impact on the decision, his knowledge and experience of the game is seriously just amazing. What sets Tech apart from all the other schools is really the small town that really embraces the university in every way. The brotherhood and family atmosphere inside the football building is just amazing and really makes me feel welcome with open arms," Harvey said, Bleed Tech Blue reported.
VYPE reported that the 6-foot-8, 328-pound Harvey verbally pledged with the Bulldogs on July 2.
He tweeted, "Committed!!"
Harvey went from having never played a down before the ninth grade to 247 Sports deeming him a three-star recruit.
He also has all-district honors to his name.
Bleed Tech Blue reported that Harvey chose Louisiana Tech over SMU and hometown Houston.
