The Tomball Cougars swept the Cypress Bridgeland Bears in the Class 6A baseball regional quarterfinals with a 2-1 Game 2 victory.
What made the sweep amazing is that the Cougars never surrendered more than a run.
“.@TomballHigh with the 2-1 victory as Casen Neumann (@CasenNeumann) comes in to get the last out. Tomball advances and will face the winner of Rockwell-Heath/Sachse,” the Prep Baseball Report Twitter account tweeted on May 21.
Tomball, which has a district championship under its belt, is riding a five-game winning streak that goes back to the 2-0 playoff win over Cypress Woods on May 8.
