Kingwood Park High School boys soccer player Gage Guerra was recently named the United Soccer Coaches-MaxPreps High School State Player of the Week for Texas.

Guerra was also named Kingwood Park Player of the Game recently for his performance in the April 9 playoff match against Hendrickson, the ninth time he has received the distinction this season, according to his MaxPreps player page

Over the course of his 46-game high school career, Guerra has made 51 goals and been credited for 129 points, according to his stats on MaxPreps. He has also averaged 0.6 assists per game, with 27 assists total.

The Player of the Week distinction is based on Guerra’s statistics submitted by his coaches to MaxPreps. A total of 23 boys and 23 girls from around the country were selected for the participating states.
