City of Houston Council Committee on Quality of Life will meet Dec. 4.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

This meeting will be held in the Anna Russell City Hall Council Chamber, 901 Bagby St., 2nd Floor, Houston, Texas 77002

This meeting will offer City of Houston Council Members and their staff the options to participate via videoconference or in-person. The Chair, as presiding officer of the Committee, will be physically present in Council Chamber.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 551.127 of the Texas Government Code applicable to a governmental body that extends into three or more counties, all other committee members have the option to participate in-person or virtually via Microsoft Teams. This meeting will also be broadcast on HTC, the City of Houston’s Municipal Channel.

III. Operations

The Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) recommends Council approve the allocation of $4,397,647.50 to WFCM 2022-C62 2100 Travis Street LLC for the payment of rent and other costs associated with the lease for HCD offices located at 2100 Travis Street for Q4 CY25-January 2029. The lease expires on January 31, 2029. (District C)

IV. Compliance and Grant Administration

HCD recommends Council authorize and approve an Eighth Amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery 2016 Flood Events (CDBG-DR 16) Subrecipient Agreement (19-076-008- B357) between the City of Houston and the Texas General Land Office (GLO) to extend the subrecipient agreement term from December 31, 2025 to April 30, 2026 and language, align with the Harvey Buyout Program closeout and allow time for the completion of final salary draws. There are no changes to the funding. (All Districts)
