Commissioner Lesley Briones, in collaboration with the Houston Arts Alliance, has initiated a survey to gather community input for new murals in the Gulfton and Sharpstown areas. The Precinct 4 Mural Survey seeks feedback from residents within ZIP codes 77081, 77036, 77074, 77401, and 77006.
The survey consists of 18 questions available in both English and Spanish. Participants are asked to rate various mural designs on a scale from 1 to 10. This initiative is part of a larger public art strategy aimed at enhancing neighborhood identity and boosting civic pride.
"This isn't just paint on a wall," said Commissioner Briones. "These murals are part of a broader public-art strategy aimed at elevating neighborhood identity and strengthening civic pride."
Residents have until November 7 to complete the survey. It can be accessed online at https://hcp4.info/P4MuralSurvey.
