Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Neyma Figueroa to the Texas Energy Reliability Council. Her term will last at the discretion of the Governor. The Council was created to help ensure that energy and electric industries in Texas can meet important human needs, address critical infrastructure issues, and improve communication within these sectors.
Neyma Figueroa is based in San Antonio and works as an attorney and senior counsel at Valero Energy Corporation. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and The William N. Sessions American Inn of Court. Figueroa also volunteers with organizations such as the Valero Texas Open, San Antonio Academy, and First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from New Mexico State University and earned her law degree from Baylor University School of Law.
