Rep. Troy E. Nehls has introduced the Rapid Expulsion of Migrant Offenders who Violate and Evade (REMOVE) Act in Washington, D.C. This bill aims to expedite the removal process for illegal aliens, concluding proceedings within 15 days after they begin. Senator Marsha Blackburn had previously introduced the REMOVE Act in the Senate.
Congressman Nehls stated, “Millions of illegal aliens invaded our homeland under the Biden Administration, bringing with them crime and destruction.” He criticized President Biden's leadership and emphasized that his legislation would aid in delivering a mass deportation operation initiated by former President Trump.
The bill is cosponsored by Representatives Barry Moore and Brandon Gill. Congressman Moore remarked, "Rep. Nehls’ REMOVE Act sends a clear message: if you break our laws and threaten the safety of our communities, you no longer get 90 days to live off of the American taxpayer." He supports swift enforcement of removal proceedings for criminal aliens.
Congressman Gill expressed support for Nehls’s legislation as well, saying it aligns with President Trump's promise to ensure community safety through mass deportations.
The REMOVE Act mandates timely removal proceedings for illegal aliens served with a Notice to Appear (NTA) and requires these proceedings to conclude within 15 days.
