Congressman Wesley Hunt released a statement addressing his involvement with leaders at various levels in response to the flash flooding in Hill Country, Texas. The flooding affected many families from the Houston area, particularly those with children at Camp La Junta and Camp Mystic.

"I am closely monitoring the flooding situation in Kerville, Texas," Hunt stated. He mentioned his communication with Secretary Kristi Noem, the Texas Division of Emergency Management, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to ensure immediate rescue efforts for those in danger.

Hunt added, "Emily and I are praying for all those affected by this tragedy, including those in our Houston Community. May God watch over the victims, the first responders, and all the families impacted. May God bless Texas."
