Governor Greg Abbott has announced that Texas has been named the Best Business Climate in the United States for the third consecutive year. This recognition comes from Business Facilities magazine's 2025 Annual Rankings Report.

"Texas moves at the speed of business," Governor Abbott stated. He highlighted Texas' position as the eighth-largest economy globally and its unique advantages, including no corporate or personal income tax, a skilled workforce, access to global markets, strong infrastructure, and a favorable regulatory environment. Abbott attributed this success to collaboration with the Texas Legislature in promoting pro-growth policies and enhancing government efficiency.

The state was acknowledged for over 1,300 qualified capital investment projects completed in 2024. Additionally, more than 20 companies announced plans to relocate their headquarters to Texas during this period.

Business Facilities magazine's ranking considers various factors such as economic development activities from the previous year, focusing on capital investment and job creation. Economic strength, regulatory climate, infrastructure quality, and workforce availability are key elements of their evaluation for the Best Business Climate designation.
