Governor Greg Abbott has issued a statement regarding President Donald Trump's recent actions. In his remarks, Governor Abbott emphasized the importance of maintaining vigilance to secure the state's safety.

"As we unite as a Nation, we as a state must remain vigilant to secure our homeland," he stated. He further outlined Texas's response measures, which include increasing the readiness of the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and the Texas National Guard. The state will also increase patrols around high-risk areas to ensure preparedness for any potential threats.

Governor Abbott reassured residents by stating, "At this time, there is no need to worry. We want to keep it that way." He expressed support for national leadership and military forces by affirming, "Texas stands with America’s Commander-in-Chief. We will defend our communities and support our troops."
