Governor Greg Abbott has made new appointments to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Brian Rentsch, P.E., has been appointed for a term that will conclude on October 31, 2027. Ryan Bridges has been named as the chair of the board, which oversees the regulation of psychology practice in Texas.

Brian Rentsch hails from Grapevine and is currently employed as a professional engineer and certified project manager at Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. His affiliations include membership in various professional organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. He also participates in his local community through Church at the Cross. Rentsch's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.

Ryan Bridges, based in Katy, serves as Lead Analyst for Insurance Risk Management at CenterPoint Energy. His roles extend to vice chairman of the Texas FAIR Plan Association Governing Committee and membership on both the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council and Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas Board of Directors. Bridges actively contributes to community events like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Special Attractions Committee. He holds degrees from Sam Houston State University—a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration.
