Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Aundrea Young to the Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services. Her term is set to conclude on January 1, 2026. The council is responsible for recommending changes to the EMS/Trauma System to ensure comprehensive and efficient emergency care for communities.

Aundrea Young, based in Houston, is the founder and president of Competitive Choice, Inc. She serves on several committees and boards including the Executive Women’s Partnership Steering Committee for the Greater Houston Partnership, the Board of the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region, and as a sponsor of the United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Young is also a member of both the American Leadership Forum (ALF) and Leadership Texas.

Young holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Texas Southern University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston. She has also completed studies at Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management Program and is pursuing a Doctorate in Critical Infrastructure at Capitol Technology University.
