Congressman Troy E. Nehls of Texas has expressed his support for H.R. 1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, by voting in favor of it. Following the vote, Rep. Nehls issued a statement highlighting the key aspects and intentions behind the legislation.
"I proudly voted yes to pass President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill," stated Congressman Nehls. He emphasized that the bill aligns with America First principles and fulfills promises made to citizens. Among its features are making President Trump's tax cuts permanent, introducing No Tax on Tips and No Tax on Overtime policies, and offering tax relief for seniors.
The bill also addresses immigration concerns by providing funds for at least one million deportations annually and supporting immigration authorities' efforts. "The One Big, Beautiful Bill finishes President Trump’s big, beautiful wall," Nehls remarked.
Furthermore, it aims to reduce waste by removing over 1.4 million illegal aliens from Medicaid benefits while safeguarding the program for vulnerable groups.
In terms of energy policy, the bill seeks to enhance American energy dominance and job growth while reducing costs for families. It opposes what Nehls described as "the Left’s Green New Scam," projecting savings for taxpayers.
An investment exceeding $12 billion is planned to update national airspace and air traffic control systems to improve public safety in aviation.
"The One Big, Beautiful Bill secures numerous wins for the American people," concluded Congressman Nehls, citing economic ignition, homeland security enhancements, energy empowerment, and significant deficit reduction as outcomes of this legislative effort.
